I talk you down when you’re texting me, panicking that maybe you bought the wrong dress. I’ll always check your teeth for lipstick before we start shooting.
When that one groomsmen is running (really) late, I’ll gently take your shoulders & look you in the eye & remind you to breath deep. Everything is fine.
I’ll wipe (no, DAB) your tears away so your makeup doesn’t get smudged. When you’re dancing too hard (is there such a thing?) I’ll pin your hair back into place.
I’ll laugh with you. A lot.
It's the connection between humans.
It's the small things that connect us that others might not see.
It's the way his hand feels on the small of your back.
It's the way your grandmother's cheek feels against yours when she squeezes you tight.
It's the look in your dad's eyes, with no words spoken.
Those tiny moments? I see them.
And I want you to remember them.
I’ll stay up late editing so you’ll get your photos back sooner than I originally told you. I’ll deliver them & then wait with baited breath for your “OMG we love them” email in response.
I’ll stalk you on IG for basically forever. I’ll freak out with you over the kitchen remodel you just completed. I’ll squeal audibly when you announce your first pregnancy.
And I’m guaranteed to get super sentimental when you celebrate your anniversaries.
I love when my babies lean their head on me, mid playing a game. Knowing they'll find comfort.
I love the feeling of all 5 of my senses alive & working well when I’m on foreign soil.
I love the soft breeze through an open window, curtains blowing, shadows dancing across the room.
I love being a reliable friend. The one people come to for advice or a hug.
I love late night deep conversations while curled up on the couch with a bottle of red.
I love watching other people find what they’re passionate about & go do the damn thing.
I love art, and music & the sense of peace I have when I’m immersed in either.
Travel has been a part of my soul since I first stepped in a foreign land 20 years ago. I crave experiences that drive me out of my suburban comfort zone and allow me to enjoy other cultures. From eating off a banana leaf in a hut in India, to touring wine country in Tuscany, I’ve met the most amazing people and look forward to meeting many more. If you’re looking for a photographer to capture your adventures stateside or overseas, I’m your girl.

Amber is one of the sweetest souls you'll meet, and we're lucky to have her as a part of our team.
As a lead associate photographer, Amber gives our couples the same Amanda Donaho Photography experience we've become known for. She takes exceptional care of her brides & grooms, and is incredible at multi-tasking on a wedding day - making sure every need is taken care of, all the while creating beautiful images that stand the test of time.
She and her husband Stephen met on Valentine's Day (does it get better than that?!) and love to travel together.
I'd love to hear more about your plans for your wedding. Let's connect.
