Kelly and Gavin chose to have a destination wedding in Italy; and I was honored to be their destination wedding photographer. The couple is from England, but currently living in Australia – and lived in Dubai for a bit as well – so their guests were from all over the globe. Everyone came together for one reason, and that was to support this (really incredible) couple on the biggest day of their lives.
Tucked away in the hills of Tuscany, lies Villa Catignano. This beautiful quintessential Italian villa served as home for their 50 wedding guests, and the backdrop to their perfect wedding day. Despite the heat of this summer in the Siena region, the breeze blew at just the right times, and the clouds rolled over to provide some shade just before their ceremony in the lemon grove. The day was filled with laughter & fun from sunrise to sunset, especially with their brilliant band providing the entertainment.
Kelly has impeccable taste (…as does Gavin – such a dapper groom) and did a brilliant job planning out every part of the day. Most of their attire was custom made (Kelly even designed her wedding dress herself) and no detail went untouched. They wanted to provide a beautiful & memorable weekend for their guests – and they succeeded.
I’m going to let the photos do the talking from here on out… I could tell you about the love these two share, or how Kel was an absolute vision in her dress… but it’s easier for you to see for yourself. Kelly & Gavin – thank you for allowing me the honor of documenting your incredible wedding weekend & treating us like family. We’re grateful to have spent this magical time in Tuscany with you.
