With so many couples getting engaged over the holidays, I thought now would be the perfect time to discuss wedding venues in Cincinnati! If you’ve just started the search – congrats! You’re lucky to be in the Queen City, as we have SO many amazing venues for you to take advantage of! While I can’t possibly list them all in one blog post, I’m sharing with you today some of my favorites specifically with OUTDOOR space (for ceremony, cocktail or reception) in no particular order.
Check back soon for another post with venues that are all indoors!
Before we dive in, a few quick questions to ask while you’re searching for which Cincinnati Wedding venue is right for you.
Before the Monastery first opened their doors, I knew it would be a smashing hit. This beautiful former church, perched up on the top of Mt. Adams is truly unique. During the restoration of the building, so many gorgeous original details were kept which makes this a favorite. Add to that the stunning outdoor space and the incredible staff – and you just can’t go wrong at the Monastery Event Center!
Mojave East is another venue that from first concept I knew would be a success. There’s not another venue like Mojave in Cincinnati. If a cool modern-dessert vibe is your style, you belong here. A gorgeous outdoor ceremony area can also be used for cocktail hour as well. The interior is beautifully clean with white walls, tons of natural light, exposed rafters, and modern lighting. The husband-wife duo that serve as the owners are incredible to work with & will ensure your day is perfect.
If a European-style wedding venue is what you vision, but a destination wedding isn’t in the cards – check out Greenacres Art Center. This property is absolutely STUNNING and packed full of eye-candy. Around every corner is another “ahhh” moment. From the formal gardens to the English-style manor, this venue is packed full of opportunities to make your wedding unique and one that your guests will remember.
I always imagine driving up to Downton Abbey when I pull up to Peterloon Estate in Indian Hill. This private property has been a favorite of mine for years, and I adore photographing weddings here because of the esthetic and vibe. While Peterloon is a stately manor, it also feels warm & intimate inside too (and I ADORE photographing portraits inside!) Between the beautiful landscape outside, and the living space inside, this Cincinnati wedding venue is one for the books!
The Pinecroft is a wonderful wedding venue for multiple reasons! For starters, there’s plenty of space for the entire wedding party to get ready. Cocktail hour options are available both inside & out. A picturesque orchard is available for your ceremony, and a garden pavilion for your party. Pinecroft gives you plenty of options to make your day exactly what you want it to be!
This park is a popular location for engagement & family photos for good reason! In addition, the grounds make for a stunning wedding day! With multiple options for an outdoor ceremony throughout the property, Ault Park is an easy choice for a couple longing for a garden wedding vibe with a covered, yet outdoor reception option!
Another gorgeous property owned by Premier Park Events is the French House. The upstairs of the house has plenty of space for both the guys & girls in your wedding party to get ready (yet remain separate). I love the white walls & natural light that flood the bridal suite. Besides scoring gorgeous getting ready photos here, the options for portraits around the property are plentiful as are the options for an outdoor ceremony.
I can’t tell you how thrilled I was to hear that Hotel Covington was opening a few years ago. As a NKY resident myself, I knew we were desperate for more event venue options this side of the river. Add to that an absolutely stunning hotel & restaurant & it’s a dream come true! If your vibe is a bit modern, but you love rustic too, the courtyard with exposed brick but modern touches is the place for you. Keep the party going either inside or out with their various reception set-up options. And don’t forget the added bonus of your guests simply meandering upstairs to their hotel room for the easiest transport home at night!
The courtyard at the Cincinnati Art Museum is absolutely swoon worthy. There’s a handful of reasons for this, but I’ll just name a few. The lighting is literally perfect in the later part of the day when most ceremonies are happening. The light colored stones reflect the light around beautifully (I’m all about the light if you can’t tell!) and the architecture speaks for itself. Keep the party going with a cocktail hour amongst the sculptures & fountains outside & finish out the evening in the elegant Great Hall.
If you choose to have your wedding at the Taft Museum of Art, your guests will have the option of strolling the halls of the museum during cocktail hour, while also enjoying the beautiful courtyard. The tent provides an excellent place to dance the night away. Situated in a great spot downtown, you’re also near plenty of hotels for getting ready – and nearby off-site locations for photos with your wedding party, too. The Taft is a beautiful pick for a garden wedding!
Cooper Creek is an excellent choice for any couple, but especially if you have a lot of guests! It’s a very large property, and is run so well! There’s space for your guests to have cocktail hour outside or in, a huge reception space with lots of natural light, and a wonderful ceremony space outside. You’re sure to have a memorable night at Cooper Creek!
If you’re having an intimate wedding date, consider Wiedemann Hill Mansion. Perched up on a hill overlooking Cincinnati, the view makes for a stunning ceremony backdrop. Your guests will enjoy cocktail hour outside on the porch, and even popping back out throughout the night to watch the sun set over the Queen City. The interior features a cozy, yet elegant space for dinner with your guests.
There are SO many wedding venues in Cincinnati, I can’t possibly hit all of them! I hope this list of some favorites with outdoor options was helpful! Keep an eye out for another post coming soon with all-indoor Cincinnati wedding venues!
